More than 10,000 newly registered companies in 2018
Saudi Arabia’s Economic News reported on June 16 that according to data released by the Ministry of Urban and Rural Affairs, 11025 new registered enterprises and institutions were added to the Saudi market last year, and the total number of registered enterprises in Saudi Arabia increased to 37,343. The amount accounted for 29.5% of the total. Among them, Riyadh registered a total of 21,696 enterprises, accounting for 58% of the country, 5,239 in Mecca, 2,312 in the east, 2,117 in Najran, 1,776 in Asil, 1,170 in Kassim, 727 in Jiaofu, and 553 in the north. Home, 519 in Medina, 400 in Baja, 393 in Bajan, and 263 in Ha'il, Tabuk has the lowest registration, only 176.
In addition, the Ministry of Urban and Rural Affairs also issued 88,713 building permits, 5,071 maintenance permits, 295 self-service terminals or ATM machine licenses last year. The Ministry has established several construction laboratories to test building materials and processing techniques theoretically and technically to ensure construction quality. The laboratory can also provide technical consulting and research services to contracted engineering companies to create operational construction solutions.
