Exhibitors will have the opportunity to engage in face-to-face communication with potential customers and establish long-term partnerships.

Georgia Introduction:

Georgia covers an area of 69,700 square kilometers and is located in the west-central part of the South Caucasus. It borders Russia to the north, Azerbaijan to the southeast, Armenia to the south, Turkey to the southwest, and the Black Sea to the west. Its geographical location is highly strategic, serving as the gateway from the Caucasus and Central Asia to Europe. It is a on the ancient Silk Road and the modern Eurasian transport corridor, and one of the important countries along the Belt and Road. Consequently, Georgia is a significant re-export trade country, with 80% of port cargo and 60% of railway transport goods being transit goods. On its Black Sea coast in the west, Georgia possesses two excellent deep-water ports, Poti and Batumi, as well as two pipeline oil terminals at Kulevi and Supsa, providing significant transportation advantages.

Georgia has four distinct seasons and a pleasant climate, earning it the reputation of being "God's garden." It is a world-renowned tourist destination and the birthplace of the former Soviet leader, Joseph Stalin. In 2025, Georgia demonstrated a strong economic performance, with a projected real GDP growth rate of 7.3% for the year. Its total foreign trade volume reached 25.816 billion US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 10.4%. China is Georgia's third-largest source of imports.

Development Trends and Future Prospects of the Automotive and Parts Industry:

Georgia's Automotive and Auto Parts Market

The scale of Georgia's automotive and auto parts market has maintained steady growth in recent years. As of the end of 2025, the total number of registered vehicles in Georgia reached 1,914,908, a year-on-year increase of 6.9%, with passenger cars accounting for 1,650,048 of these. Based on a national population of 3.7045 million, the number of vehicles per thousand people is approximately 517. Despite this significant increase in vehicle ownership, the issue of vehicle aging is prominent—approximately 80% of registered vehicles are over 10 years old, with the number of vehicles aged 10 years and above reaching 1,541,196, indicating substantial demand for vehicle renewal and replacement.

Georgia's industrial base is relatively weak, and its automotive and auto parts manufacturing industry lags behind. The country lacks modern automobile production lines and a comprehensive supply chain system, making it difficult to meet the local market's demand for high-quality automobiles and parts. With Georgia's sustained economic development, consumer demand for automobiles is shifting from basic transportation to higher-quality, more modern vehicle models. However, local enterprises are unable to offer products comparable to international brands, resulting in a market highly dependent on imports.

Georgia serves as an important automotive re-export trade hub. From January to October 2025, Georgia re-exported 93,000 vehicles, with a total value of 2.3 billion US dollars. Vehicle re-exports accounted for 37.6% of the country's total exports, with major destinations including Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, and Azerbaijan. In terms of import sources, from January to February 2025, Georgia imported 19,800 vehicles (worth 330 million US dollars), with the top three source countries being the United States (15,300 vehicles), Japan (1,733 vehicles), and China (641 vehicles). It is worth noting that electric vehicle imports from January to February 2025 reached 927 units, a year-on-year increase of 100%, with China being the second-largest source country for electric vehicles, exporting 100 units (worth 2.155 million US dollars). The international automotive market is highly competitive, with Mercedes-Benz, Toyota, Ford, BMW, Nissan, Hyundai, and others dominating the Georgian market. Meanwhile, Chinese brands such as Changan and BYD are gradually expanding their market share, leveraging the cost-performance advantages of their new energy vehicle models.

Diplomatic relations between the two countries:

From July 26 to August 1, 2023, Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia visited China to attend the opening ceremony of the 31st Universiade in Chengdu. The two sides held in-depth discussions on bilateral relations and international and regional issues of common concern, reaching broad consensus and unanimously deciding to elevate the bilateral relationship to a strategic partnership. Both parties agreed that since the establishment of diplomatic relations on June 9, 1992, fruitful achievements have been made in cooperation across various fields. Amid the current complex and ever-changing international landscape, they unanimously pledged to jointly expand collaboration in political, economic, cultural, and other domains, strengthen coordination on international affairs, continuously deepen bilateral ties, and jointly safeguard regional and global peace, stability, and development.

In 2025, China-Georgia relations continued to deepen. In November, the two countries substantially concluded negotiations on upgrading the free trade agreement, further enhancing the quality and efficiency of bilateral economic and trade cooperation. That same year, the Georgian foreign minister visited China, where both sides expressed their expectation to elevate the bilateral relationship to a comprehensive strategic partnership. Over the 33 years since the establishment of diplomatic ties, political mutual trust has been continuously strengthened, and cooperation across various fields has yielded remarkable results. China has remained Georgia's largest import source and one of its major trading partners for many consecutive years. From January to September 2025, bilateral goods imports and exports between China and Georgia reached $2.047 billion, marking a 23.4% year-on-year increase, with China's exports to Georgia totaling $1.776 billion, up 21.8% year-on-year.
